By downloading, installing, or using Bookshelf ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Bookshelf is a writing and reading companion app that allows you to organize, draft, and preview written works. All content is created and stored locally on your device.
You retain full ownership of all content you create within the App. We do not claim any rights to your writing, notes, or other materials.
You are solely responsible for your content and for maintaining backups. We strongly recommend using the App's built-in backup feature regularly.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
The App allows you to import books from Apple Books and other sources for personal reading and annotation. Imported books are for personal use only and cannot be exported. Cover images and metadata are used solely for categorisation within the App. You are responsible for ensuring your use of imported content complies with applicable copyright laws.
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and interface, is the intellectual property of Noel High and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your content remains yours.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Noel High shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, arising out of your use of the App.
While we strive to ensure the App functions reliably, we are not responsible for any loss of data. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important content.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time without notice. You may stop using the App at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
